Napoli survive Tofas in overtime despite 32 from Bryce Jones

Napoli's 12-8 overtime decided the game against Tofas

Napoli won it in overtime, outscoring Tofas 12-8 after the visitors had wiped out their lead with a 27-20 fourth quarter. The final score was 105-101, a 4-point margin.

Tofas had been behind at every quarter break until the end of regulation, yet they kept coming. They leaned on Bryce Jones throughout, and he finished with 32 points and a perfect 9/9 from the free-throw line.

Once the game reached overtime, Napoli found the stops they had lacked in the fourth quarter, holding Tofas to 8 points. Jeff Dowtin played 29 minutes without a turnover, the kind of control that counts when every possession matters.

Napoli's 29-20 first quarter built the cushion

The game was set up in the first quarter, which Napoli won 29-20 at home. They added the second quarter 24-22, so Tofas went into the second half chasing.

That early margin is what Tofas spent the rest of the night eating into. Winning the third quarter 24-20 and the fourth 27-20 was enough to force overtime, but never enough to go ahead in regulation.

Napoli's bench helped protect that start. Jack White posted 12 points and 11 rebounds in 28 minutes, while Markel Brown added 12 points with 3/4 from three-point range.

Zac Seljaas carried Napoli with seven threes

Zac Seljaas carried Napoli, scoring 28 points in 40 minutes on 7/10 from three-point range. He also took 6 rebounds and finished with a PIR of 24.

His one blemish was 5 turnovers, but his shooting stretched the Tofas defence all night. Jeff Dowtin was the second option, adding 18 points, 5 assists and 3 steals.

Bryce Jones still produced the best individual line of the game, with 7/9 inside, 3/6 from deep and a PIR of 28. He ranked 7th of 151 rated players in the league by TeamKeys Rating in 2025/2026.

Jones had support from Shavar Reynolds Jr., who scored 22 points with 6 assists. Jamuni McNeace came off the bench for 14 points and 11 rebounds on 7/9 shooting.

What Napoli 105-101 Tofas means for the Eurocup standings

Napoli stay perfect at 4-0 and sit 2nd of 32, level on record with leaders Aris. Tofas drop to 3-1 and 7th after their first Eurocup defeat.

Napoli's form now reads four straight wins, while Tofas' run of three wins has ended. Hapoel Jerusalem, at 3-0, and Bahcesehir, at 3-1, sit 3rd and 4th.

Both sides are back in action on 28 October 2026. Napoli face Neptunas Klaipeda, and Tofas meet Slask Wroclaw as they try to respond.
