What it is
A rating, not an opinion
A value from 0 to 100 that says how a player performed inside his own league this season. Scoring, playmaking, rebounding, ball pressure and rim protection go in, one number comes out.
Why it differs
The same code for everyone
Every qualified player is measured against the same population, by the same procedure, with the same weights. Nobody moves up for who represents him or how he looks in a highlight reel.
Its limits
What it will not tell you
It will not tell you who is available, what he costs, or whether he fits your system. And it will never see what a scout sees in a gym.
It is league relative. Read that twice.
A 95 in the Adriatic League and a 95 in the Spanish ACB are not the same player.
The rating answers one question, how did he perform against the players he actually faced, and refuses the other one. Translating performance across competitions is a different model, built on twenty five years of real transfers, and it lives inside the platform.
How the rating is built
A 0 to 100 value of how a player performed inside his own league this season.
- The populationEvery qualified player in the league, measured against each other and nobody else.
- QualificationA minimum of games played and minutes per game, set league by league. A player below it is not ranked, however well he played in the minutes he had.
- The windowEvery list says the date its data runs through and how many rounds have been played. Ratings move during a season.
What the rating does not measure
- Availability, injury status or physical condition
- Contract situation, market availability or economic value
- Role fit, system and coaching context
- Quality of opponent inside the league
- Anything a scout sees in a gym that a box score never records
