Darius Bazley scores 34 but Ulsan Mobis fall to Changwon LG

Darius Bazley's 34 points could not stop Changwon LG's 88-83 win

Darius Bazley scored 34 points for Ulsan Mobis on 22 October 2026, but Changwon LG won 88-83. His line also included 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks in 31 minutes.

That output sat far above his 2026/2027 average of 19.7 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists across 7 games. His TeamKeys Rating of 98 ranks him second of 58 rated players in the KBL.

His PIR of 37 was the best on the Mobis side by some distance. Only Assem Marei, with 53, posted a higher figure in the game.

How Bazley built 34 points: 13/18 from the free-throw line

Bazley built his 34 points largely at the free-throw line, where he went 13/18. He added 6/11 on two-pointers and 3/4 from beyond the arc.

The volume of free throws shows how often he drew contact against the Changwon LG defence. His shooting from the field was sharp, although 4 turnovers took some of the shine off the night.

On the glass he collected 13 rebounds, comfortably above his 9.4 average. He also blocked 2 shots, giving Mobis a presence at both ends during his 31 minutes.

Why Ulsan Mobis lost: Assem Marei and a 27-21 second quarter

Ulsan Mobis lost because Assem Marei controlled the boards and Changwon LG won the second quarter 27-21. Bazley's scoring kept the hosts close, but not close enough at the finish.

Marei finished with 25 points, 34 rebounds and 7 assists in 37 minutes, shooting 10/19 inside and 5/6 at the line. His season average is 14.7 points and 15.8 rebounds, and his TeamKeys Rating of 88.8 ranks 10th.

Mobis took the third quarter 17-14, but Changwon LG edged the fourth 23-21. Sang Yugi scored 19 with 8/9 from the line, while Archie Goodwin added 15 off the bench, shooting 3/4 from three.

Bazley had limited help around him. Woosuk Lee scored 15 in 37 minutes, and Gaige Prim, who averages 23.4 points, managed 9 in 12 minutes off the bench.

What next for Ulsan Mobis and Changwon LG in the KBL table

The defeat leaves Ulsan Mobis ninth of 10 at 2-5, while Changwon LG sit eighth at 3-4. Mobis's recent form reads L, W, L, W, L.

Mobis meet Seoul Samsung Thunders on 25 October 2026, and Seoul Samsung lead the table at 6-0. Bazley will need more support than he had here to trouble an unbeaten side.

Changwon LG take on Seoul SK, fourth at 1-1, on the same day. Their form of W, L, L, L, W shows how uneven their start to the season has been.
